I met my wife Tandy in Lynchburg, VA while attending Liberty University. We have been married to for over 9 years and have two children, Cobe (8) & Cayden (6). My wife is more than I ever imagined and everything I prayed for. She is full of life and enjoys photographraphy as a hobby and career.  My daughter is a complete diva! She owns the world, and has me completely wrapped around her finger. My son – yes, we named our son after my favorite basketball player… Kobe Bryant! He loves everything I love, which just makes life fun.

I have a father who is the Missions Pastor in Lynchburg, VA at Thomas Road Baptist Church. My brother is a church planter in Burlington, NC. He started Pine Ridge Church in September of 2007. In 2001 my wife Tandy and I moved to be a part of West Ridge Church in Dallas, GA. (Dallas is a town about 30 minutes north/west of Atlanta) Prior to this move I served for 4 years on staff working with students at Thomas Road Baptist Church, and in Orlando at First Baptist Church Orlando for my first internship. For the first 5 years we served and led the Middle School Ministry at West Ridge and spent our 6th year in a new strategy bringing our entire Student Ministry “TOGETHER”. I also had the role to oversee and help in the strategy and direction of the preaching for West Ridge Church. I worked “TOGETHER” with a Teaching Team, the Lead Pastor; Brian Bloye and the Creative Arts Team.

In June of 2007, we moved out of Student Ministries and helped start a new service at West Ridge called “Genesis” for those who are 18-29 in college or unmarried. This vision and dream was to engage with a generation who have left the church or simply want nothing to do with it. We wanted to create an environment to encourage people to rethink and relearn God’s original design for their lives. This new direction began to fan a flame inside of us.

On November 2nd, 2008  we announced to our church that God had called us to move to Orlando, Florida to start Genesis Church. We arrived in June and launched on January 24th, 2010. We are excited to see how God uses us in his story to help others rethink life the way God intended.
